Sport:Bokator Fed launches bouts at Beeline Arena

Six well-contested matchups featured in the inaugural edition of the Cambodia Bokator Federation’s monthly fight nights at Beeline Arena on Chhroy Changvar peninsular on Friday. Sem Sung of Kandal provinces’s Vihear Sour Club got things under way by stopping Ros Cheat of Phnom Penh Bodyguard Club in the second round of their 52kg bout. The second fight was ended early by the referee, who judged it a non-contest between 56kg fighters Nuon Anet of Siem Reap’s Mean Rith Bodyguard Club and Chey Savy of Kirisovann Won Club in Kampong Chhnang province. PP Bodyguards’ Ou Dara then lost his 56kg bout on points to Chut Chunly of Pursat’s Kleang Moeung Club. Chin Kwan Nguy of Phnom Penh’s Makuth Reach Club registered a second knockout victory over Prak Ty of Yay Pring Mean Rith Club in Kampong Chhnang in their 60kg fight. Prak Ty’s clubmate Sien Sokthear was also on the receiving end of a second round knockout against Chy Saly of Sien Reap’s Moha Dray Troyung Club at the same weight. Finally, French fighter Dereck Bidaut of PP Bodyguards wasted little time in his 60kg bout with Sy Vanna of Royal PP Bodyguards with a first round knockout.
